Gerard Deulofeu might just have scored the most aesthetically pleasing goal of the year after his effort in Watford’s comeback against Wolves at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

Deulofeu, who replaced Will Hughes in the 66th minute for Watford, scored 13 minutes after coming on, pulling Javi Gracia’s side back into the game before Troy Deeney’s 94th-minute penalty equalised the scoring, forcing the game into extra-time.

The Spaniard then scored again in the 14th-minute of extra-time, completing the comeback and putting Watford ahead for the first time. He later limped off through injury with eight minutes left, though Watford ended as semi-final winners and booked their place in the FA Cup final, facing Pep Guardiola’s quadruple-chasing Manchester City side.

The goal, which you can watch below, came from nowhere, with Wolves shot-stopper John Ruddy able to do nothing but watch the ball fly past him.
