Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-Min faces to risk of missing out on the start of the season after fracturing his arm whilst on international duty as South Korea faced Qatar in a World Cup qualifying game.

During the fixture on Tuesday, Son landed awkwardly on his arm following a challenge and was soon taken off. It has now been reported that the Korean will be undergoing surgery tomorrow on his right forearm.

However, neither Son’s club Tottenham Hostpur nor the Korean Football Association have commented on just how long the forward will be out of action for. He scored 21 goals in 47 games for the North London club last season, and will aim to be fit before the new Premier League season kicks off.
