Barcelona La Liga Ligue 1 Paris Saint-Germain Transfer Rumours

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Marco Verratti, has told the club that he wants to go to Barcelona and won’t be returning to Paris, according to Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian has attracted a lot of interest from the Catalan giants in the past and it seems like Ernesto Valverde has made Marco Verratti his prime target, for this season, if reports are to be believed. And now, it seems like Verratti is determined to join Barcelona too.

Verratti, who started out at Pescara in Italy, has become one of most promising midfielders in the world with his superb ability to control the tempo and picking out teammates with utmost precision. With 5 assists and 3 goals, Verratti created 40 chances for his teammates with 89% pass completion. Barcelona have been desperate to replace the ageing Andrés Iniesta who has been the creative cog in the Barcelona side for more than a decade.

PSG are adamant on keeping their best players but it seems like Verratti will force a move through and become a Barcelona player come next season. The player is currently on a holiday in Ibiza and hasn’t made any public comments.
