Transfer Rumours

Ten Top youngsters (21 years or younger) that should be signed by teams in the Premier League.

I start off my list with Gianluigi Donnarumma. Gianluigi Donnarumma is 17 years of age. 17 years! He is the youngest goalkeeper ever to start a match in the history of Italian football, at the age of 16 years 8 months after he was chosen ahead of Diego Lopez in a 2-1 win against Sassuolo at the San Siro. Since then, he has started 18 games and has earned a starting position on the team with him being labelled, “The future of Italian football.” According to Diego Lopez. There is speculation over a possible move to Barcelona, Premier League teams will have to act fast if they are interested.

Next on my list is Saul. Saul Plays for Atletico Madrid and can play as a holding midfielder left midfielder or right midfielder. He is a graduate through the Colchoneros, the Atletico Madrid academy who were in the third division of football when Saul made his debut for them. After being signed from the first team he had a season-long loan at Rayo Vallecano where he started 34 games for them scoring two goals. His career has really started to progress from last year as Saul scored a bicycle-kick in an iconic 4-0 win over their Madrid rivals. Saul has played regularly, whether it is off the bench or getting a starting spot. He has rejected a new contract with Atletico Madrid as there is interest from Manchester United for him. This is United’s best chance to sign him.

Next I have Joao Cancelo. Joao Cancelo came through the academy of Benfica, yet he only played one competitive match for them before being loaned out to Valencia. He played thirteen games for them in his first year across all competitions and made his debut in a 3-0 win against Cordoba. Cancelo impressed so much at Valencia that Cancelo agreed to a permanent contract with the Spanish club until 2021 for a transfer fee of €15 million. Joao Cancelo has played 20 games and scored 2 goals across all competitions. You are also probably aware of Valencia’s very poor form under Gary Neville, Joao Cancelo has been a crucial part of that Valencia team however and he is a joy to watch. With such great potential and mentality with a lack of world class right-backs, teams should act fast.

Joao Cancelo

Aymeric Laporte is maybe the best player on this list. He will be world class, you can quote me on that. He is very physical and tall, yet he is a very quick defender. He often scores from corners and free kicks. Since being promoted from the second team, Aymeric has played over 100 games and scored five goals for Athletic Bilbao. He has been heavily linked to Barcelona like Donnarumma, so clubs have until the summer if they are willing to spend a lot of money for him. The club I would like him to sign for is Manchester United. They need to focus more on the defence as they had to play Michael Carrick for the game against FC Midtjylland.

Adrien Rabiot is 20 years old who has been on the radar of Premier League clubs for two years, especially Arsenal. Must they sign him in the summer surely? Arsenal has a reputation for getting injuries and then not having enough cover. Flamini and Arteta are too old and not good enough to be in this Arsenal side who like to play a 4-2-3-1. So if Coquelin and Rabiot, two young brilliant French midfielders played alongside each other. What could go wrong? Paris Saint-Germain wouldn’t be willing to sell him for cheap, however, the deal would be so crucial. Rabiot has played 70 games and scored six goals for the French giants. Arsenal cannot keep putting this deal off.

Jose Gimenez is next. Gimenez signed for €1 million for Atletico Madrid 2013 from Danubio in the Argentinian league. What a signing it would prove to be. With Gimenez starting almost every game ahead of Savic for the majority of the season is a real credit to his ability. He has played 27 games across all competitions partnering Godin for Club and has partnered Godin 21 times for their country. I think that Chelsea should make a move for Gimenez. After the stones deal did not work out, neither did the Djilobodji transfer and with Terry on the way out in the summer, Chelsea must buy him.

Another Valencia full-back has made the list, his name is Jose Gaya. Gaya played 65 league games for Valencia B before eventually signing for the first team in 2012. He is Valencia’s starting left-back with his pace and technical ability. He can match any winger for pace and he is a real threat going forward. I think that Spurs should sign him if they really want to try and win the league then they need to invest in quality players such as Gaya.

Kingsley Coman is next on my list. What this man has not achieved at his age is not worth achieving. Coman has played France’s U16’s, U17’s, U18’s, U19’s, U21’s and made his Debut for France against Germany on the 5th November. Kingsley Coman came through the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain, however, he only played three games until Juventus signed Coman on a five-year deal following the expiration of his contract with PSG. He got Man of the match on his debut for Juventus against Chievo. He is now currently on loan at Bayern Munich and Kingsley has played 17 games, mainly off the bench, scoring four goals. If a premier league club was to sign him, I think he should move to Liverpool. They have a problem with forwards and he can be their future, not Danny Ings. Danny Ings was a poor buy as he is nowhere near good enough to play for such a great team like Liverpool.

Inaki Williams is one of the players I am most excited for on this list. He plays on the wing for Athletic Bilbao. He has had a phenomenal season with him not just being regular in their first team. Williams is most certainly one of Bilbao’s best player alongside Aduriz. Signed from Basconia, Inaki played 32 games for the second team scoring 21 goals. Very impressive. It was so good that he was promoted to the first team in 2014 and since has played 35 games scoring 8 goals. This included a goal in the Copa Del Rey at the Camp Nou. They may have lost 3-1, however, he will never forget that goal. The Premier League team that should sign Inaki Williams for me is Leicester. It sounds very unlikely, however if you think it through it’s not. Athletic Bilbao is fighting for Europa League and they may not even get Europe. On the other hand, Leicester has definitely qualified for Champions league and they will get a lot of money for that. If they were to invest it in Williams, then they would have 2 top wingers causing trouble with Kante winning balls and playing them out wide or to Vardy.

WilliamsMy penultimate player on my list is Halilovic. For me, Halilovic is Barcelona’s brightest prospect. He is currently out on loan to Sporting Gijon working wonders. He is yet to play for the first side as Barcelona loaned him straight to Gijon after signing him for the second team. He has played 22 games and scored three goals for Gijon. There is no way Halilovic will be leaving for a premier league side, however, I had to add him to this list!

Last is Niang. Niang plays in the Serie A for AC Milan. He has spent the last two years out on loan to Montpellier and Genoa. Combined he has scored ten goals from 36 games. This year he has played 17 games for AC Milan scoring 8 goals. The team he should sign for is Arsenal. If Arsenal gets rid of Giroud as he just is not good enough, then they could bring in a young forward with brilliant potential (Niang) and bring in the world class striker they have been meaning to do for a number of years. This is what they must do if they are to win the league.

Do you agree with my list? Did I miss anyone out? Neves, Oliver Torres or maybe Sane? Leave in the comments who I missed out and say your top ten youngsters.
