Federico Pastorello, agent of Romelu Lukaku, believes Manchester United will have no issues convincing top players to come to Old Trafford this summer despite failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Lukaku has been one of many linked with exits from the Red Devils this summer, but his agent insists the United brand is ‘one of the best in the world’.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s appointment on a full-time basis was followed by a miraculous drop in form by United players, with many now looking to see if the Norwegian can be ruthless in clearing out those not up to the standard to compete.

However, Solskjær’s lack of managerial achievements means he remains behind Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Jürgen Klopp in appeal, and signing the best players will be a tricky task in the eyes of many for United.

Pastorello disagrees, however, suggesting CEO Ed Woodward will be a busy man as the build-up for the 2019/2020 season commences. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think Manchester United will have a lot of success in the summer bringing in players.”

“There will be a lot of work for Mr Woodward but they will be able to convince the top players to come because the brand is amazing, one of the best in the world,” the football agent revealed.

With Paul Pogba linked with a move to Real Madrid, Pastorello believes Los Blancos will be the busiest club this summer, with Zinedine Zidane heading up a ‘revolution’, adding: “One of the top movers, in my opinion, will be Real Madrid. For two summers they did not spend much but they have called back Zidane and there will be a big revolution. The team needs to be younger so there will be a domino effect from that. I expect a very interesting market.”
