Liverpool News Transfer Rumours

According to The Guardian, Liverpool look set to complete the signing of Andrew Robertson from Hull City. There has been speculation that Liverpool are interested in the left-back, and talks between the two clubs are almost complete. Robertson would become Liverpool’s third recruit this summer after Dominic Solanke and Mohammed Salah.

Robertson joined Hull City in 2014 and has gone on to make more than 100 appearances for the Tigers. He made his Scotland debut in 2014 and has accumulated 15 caps for the national team. Robertson was one of the standout performers in Hull City’s 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

Jürgen Klopp voiced his concerns over the quality at left-back last season after Alberto Moreno’s horrific start to the season, leading the German to use James Milner to fill the gap for the whole of last season. Robertson is the ideal full-back that would fit into Jürgen Klopp’s high-intensity attacking football, which would mean that James Milner returns to a midfield role this season.
