News Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar is said to be regretting swapping Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain just half a season in after he was booed by fans for not allowing Edinson Cavani to take a penalty that would see him become the clubs all-time top goal scorer, surpassing Zlatan Ibrahimović.

The Brazilian’s had clashed with Edinson Cavani earlier in the season over set-piece duties, though the feud was reignited in the French side’s 8-0 win over Dijon. Since the incident, Neymar hasn’t played with an apparent injury, missing a loss to Lyon and Wednesday night’s 4-2 win over Guingamp.

It’s also reported that Neymar has told friends that Ligue 1 is to ‘raw and physical’ and the 25-year-old is eyeing up a return to Spain, most likely with Real Madrid. The report, coming from L’Equipe, was quickly backed up by SPORT and the Spanish outlet also say Neymar isn’t a fan of how permissive referees are in France’s top league.

If Neymar does wish to leave PSG, who made him the world’s most expensive player in the summer, only a handful of clubs will be able to compete for his signature and the club allowing the star to leave after such a short period of time would be nigh impossible. However, it’s certainly one to keep an eye on.
