After being sacked by Leicester City last season, Claudio Ranieri is finally back in management after agreeing a deal to become the manager of FC Nantes, his 17th managerial job in his professional career.

The Italian lost his job at the Foxes just nine months after leading the club to arguably the most astonishing title success in football history.

The manager had been linked with a host of English clubs including; Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace, Watford, and even Leeds, but now all speculation can be laid to rest after being appointed manager of French side Nantes.

Ranieri will succeed Sérgio Conceição, who left the club earlier in the month to take charge of Portuguese giants FC Porto. The former Leicester boss is no stranger to managing in France either, having successfully won the Ligue 2 with AS Monaco before finishing 2nd behind PSG the following season.
