Everton Transfer Rumours

According to Di Marzio, Everton have completed the signing of Sandro Ramírez. The Malaga forward has found his form in La Liga after leaving FC Barcelona last summer and the 21-year-old is still a highly rated prospect across Europe. Tottenham were linked to the forward before his move to Malaga and recently this January transfer window, however, it’s now clear that Ramírez is on his way to Goodison Park.

Sandro has been in scintillating form since his move to Malaga last summer, scoring an impressive 14 goals in 30 La Liga appearances this season, including one of the goals in a 2-0 victory against his former club Barcelona, which put a dent in their title hopes.

With Romelu Lukaku being linked with a move away from Goodison Park, it makes sense that Ronald Koeman would seek to sort out a replacement. The Spaniard is quick, can hold onto the ball and is never shy of contributing in buildup play. Sandro is also a deadly striker of the ball in the box and outside of the box; 5 of his 14 goals came from long range efforts.

Atlético Madrid were reported to have had serious interest in signing the forward, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld the transfer ban; effectively ruling Madrid out of the race for his signature, leaving Everton and possibly Tottenham to battle it out.

With a €6 million (£5.1 million) release clause in his contract, confirmed by the forward himself, Everton seem to have paid the small fee to bring the Spaniard to the club.
