If England are to do the unthinkable and clinch their second World Cup title next year, they’ll have to fight off the world’s finest, including the likes of Argentina, Brazil, France and Germany and Mourinho has warned they’ll be plenty of competition for Gareth Southgate’s side

“In South America, there are a couple of important teams, in Europe the same three or four so I can’t believe next summer we will have a huge surprise.”

England, who will find out their group stage opponents on the opening day of December, are seeded in Pot 2 for next year’s tournament in Russia.
