Juventus are set to try and convince Chelsea’s Álvaro Morata to swap London for Turin this summer after the Spaniard’s tough start to life in the Premier League, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Morata, 25, previously said he couldn’t see himself staying in London for a long time shortly after he made the move from Real Madrid last year.

Since arriving in England, Morata has scored 14 goals for Antonio Conte’s side and the January addition of Olivier Giroud perhaps displayed the need to bolster attacking options after Diego Costa’s departure to Atlético Madrid and Michy Batshuayi’s loan move to Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea’s hopes for Champions League football next season are as good as destroyed after losing to Tottenham and only managing a 1-1 draw with West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. With Morata’s reported unhappiness, failure to finish in the top four could make Morata’s decision to depart to Turin an easier one.

The Spaniard is also a huge fan of living in Italy, admitting earlier this season that he would not have left had it not been for Madrid’s buy-back clause, saying: “The disappointment of leaving was enormous. I found myself back to the starting point. Madrid treated me like the guy I was before the two Italian seasons. Italy for a Spaniard is the best country to live. You have everything: beauty, history, art, cooking, fashion. I would never have left Italy and Juve.”

Get him signed. He clearly loves Juve, and we love him. We need some younger strikers (sorry Pipita). Get Keen back from his loan, Morata, maybe Martial and I wouldn’t say no to Balotelli.
