According to Sky Sources, Real Madrid striker Álvaro Morata has completed his medical ahead of the £58 million transfer from the Spanish club to Premier League winners Chelsea.

The Spaniard is expected to meet up with new manager Antonio Conte alongside his new teammates in Singapore this weekend as the Blues continue their preparation ahead of defending their Premier League crown. The 24-year-old revealed that he was joining the “best club” in Chelsea despite numerous reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The deal comes in the initial form of £58 million but is expected to rise through add-ons. Morata will be the London clubs fourth official signing of the summer, joining the likes of Willy Caballero, Antonio Rüdiger, and also, Tiemoué Bakayoko.

The forward re-joined Los Blancos from Juventus last summer after the club re-instated their buy-back option, scoring 20 goals in 43 appearances. With Diego Costa being told that he has no future at the club, Morata will be taking his role as the side’s main forward.
