Arsenal have caused heartache among all fans and ex-players throughout the past few seasons but after Liverpool demolished the Gunners 4-0 on Sunday, outrage seemed to reach a new high. Following last weeks poor 1-0 loss away to Stoke, Arsenal needed to bounce back but playing against a side who beat them home and away last season, it was always going to be a tough ask.

With Arsène Wenger dropping his two summer signings and instead opting to use Danny Welbeck ahead of Alexandre Lacazette, once Wenger’s men were obliterated, pundits and fans were not happy.

Gary Neville and Thierry Henry had their say on the matter on Sky Sports, with the Frenchman saying he wanted to “walk out” at one point. Neville went on step forward and said live on air: “I’d stick all of them on the transfer list. None of them would get a better club than where they are now.”

However it was another member of the invincibles, this time in the form of the formidable Martin Keown, who has publicly criticised the club and alluded to the demise thats set in. Speaking on Match Of The Day 2, Keown said: “Arsenal look so naive. Their midfield of Xhaka whose not mobile enough, Ramsey keeps vacating the field.”

“He (Wenger) wants to create, he turns up on the training ground and works on being creative. They had no shots on goal today Arsenal. It’s absolutely unthinkable. They’re conceding 8 goals and we talk about Slaven Bilić this morning losing his job and they’ve conceded 10. Arsenal are next to them. This is a crisis.”

“There’s £130 million worth of players sitting on the bench. Lacazette, we’re told is the new player, the new hope so why’s he on the bench? Some of the rationale about some of the decisions today, I’m scratching my head.”
