West Brom have made Montpellier striker Steve Mounie their primary transfer target for the summer window. The Benin international has scored 4 goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances this season.
The Baggies only have Salomón Rondón and Hal Robson-Kanu as their current striking options, with the pair only managing a meagre 11 goals this season in all competitions between them.
The club are interested but the rumoured £13m price tag is a stumbling block. The 22-year-old has two years left on his contract and has also been linked with a move to Fulham.
Tony Pulis has revealed that a striker is his priority during the transfer window, and the Midlands club have also been linked with Jhon Cordoba of Mainz.
The 24-year-old Colombian scored 7 goals in 36 games for the German outfit and has also been linked with FC Koln.
