Tottenham are reportedly prepared to allow Mousa Dembélé to leave the club at the end of the season after the Belgian put contract talks on hold until after the World Cup, according to The Mirror.

Dembélé also joins fellow countryman Toby Alderweireld who is set to leave the North London club in the summer after refusing to sign a new contract due to his wage demands not being met by chairman Daniel Levy.

The 30-year-old enters the last year of his contract next season and interest from the Chinese Super League is expected to return, with Mauricio Pochettino said to already have replacements lined up if he allows his midfielder to leave.

However, it’s said that Tottenham have no urge to cash in on Dembélé but instead preparing for the possibility. Barcelona’s Andre Gomes is among the replacements that Pochettino is said to have identified, with Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante also on the Argentine’s shortlist.
