Where Next For Ibrahimovic?

With Paris Saint-Germain goal scoring machine Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract set to expire at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, speculation has been rife as to his next destination, Swedish superstar Ibrahimović has stated that he is likely to leave PSG at the end of the season, with an immense goal scoring record around Europe wherever he’s been, it’s obvious that the best clubs in the world will be after him in the summer, with Chelsea and Manchester City likely not to go for the big man, because of Ibrahimovic calling Chelsea “babies” after last years Champions League clash, and with Zlatan saying Guardiola “isn’t a real man”. Here is a look at the different likely possibilities.
Since Van Persie left United in 2014, Manchester United have been crying out for a world class striker to help them get back to the level they were during Sir Alex Fergusons reign at the club. With Wayne Rooney looking less and less of the player he once was, it’s probably best United look for another world class talent to lead the lines. That man could be Zlatan Ibrahimović. With United expected to appoint Jose Mourinho at the end of the season, who is good friends with Zlatan from his Inter Milan days, everything it set up for a perfect reunion between the 2 at Old Trafford. But with United possibly missing out on Champions League football next season, could that make Zlatan look elsewhere?
Ibrahimović has recently told the media that he has had a lot of interest from the premier league, and it’s also come to light that his preferred destination would be London. Which you would expect the big clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea to be the front-runners for him, but you can’t rule out West Ham. This season the Hammers have had a spectacular season, recruiting some top players including French sensation Dmitri Payet, which really showed that West Ham meant business. With West Ham looking out for a deadly world class striker, and with the possible appearance in the Champions league next season, with them being only a point behind 4th place, it would be crazy to rule out rising west ham in their brand new stadium next season.
The next club which seems a real possibility is Arsenal, Arsenal have gone a long time without a real world class striker, which is one if the main reasons they have missed out on the league so many times as of recent. Last summer, Arsene Wenger bought only 1 player, goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea. This left Arsenal fans livid, as they have been crying out for a world class striker. It’s been reported that Wenger it set to have the biggest transfer budget he has ever had, which is likely to compete with expected big spenders, Manchester City, United and Chelsea. So this has all the ingredients for Zlatan to The Emirates.
There is also options outside of England, which is expected for a player regarded one of the best players in the world, recently Italian news reporters have been claiming the Swedish Giant could be on the move to one of his former clubs AC Milan, and that “there’s a good chance of success”. Zlatan had a 2-year spell at AC Milan, scoring 42 goals in 61 games. AC have recently dropped off in terms of the European dominance, so resigning Zlatan will be a huge step to challenging with the world’s best again.
With Ibrahimovic turning 35 next, a lot of people are suggesting that It would be the right time for him to take a step back in his career and maybe consider retirement. We all know Zlatan, and that he believes that he is still the best, and rightly so, with his goal scoring records backing him up. Players reaching his age have often taken the route to go and play in the MLS, which is growing every year, with players such as Drogba, Gerrard, Lampard, Pirlo and many more all going to America, maybe it wouldn’t be too bad for Zlatan to go, as he has recently shown his admiration for the MLS.
