Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford has revealed Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is the quickest player he’s ever faced in his short-lived professional career.
Rashford, 18, is renowned for his pace, whether it be in the central role or out wide, but recently speaking at the launch of FIFA 17, the 18-year-old revealed the Spanish fullback was the quickest player he’d faced.
Speaking to FIFA Youtuber Spencer FC, Rashford said “The fastest player in the Premier League that I’ve played against is Bellerin. I remember I was on the left and I knocked it past him and got to the ball, but then I could see him coming. I could feel his presence.”
The Spaniard is often recognised as the quickest player in the Premier League, with fans demanding races with fellow team-mate Theo Walcott and Olympian Usain Bolt, and the fullback’s ability hasn’t gone unnoticed, with many rumours suggesting the 21-year-old is under the watch of Barcelona officials. Arsenal fans will be hoping the club can sign Bellerin on a long-term deal as soon as possible.
