AC Milan Borussia Dortmund News Transfer Rumours

Sky in Italy are reporting that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund this summer, as he would like to move to AC Milan. Aubameyang feels that he has unfinished business in Milan, and is willing to drop his wage demands to €8.5m a year in order to join the Italian club.

However, Aubameyang’s contract does not run out until 2020, so Dortmund may not feel much pressure to sell him with their asking price for the superstar striker is thought to be around €78m.

Signing the Gabonese striker would add to a long list of players that Milan have brought in this summer, and would be the most expensive one. Aubameyang would bring Milan a player of world class ability that many people feel the Italian giants need to push them back into title contention in the Serie A.

Aubameyang has scored 122 goals in the league since leaving AC Milan permanently in January of 2011, scoring 85 of those goals for Dortmund in 128 appearances. The Gabonese star has also scored another 28 goals in 49 European appearances for the German club, giving him an incredible record both domestically and continentally. Over the course of the 2016/17 campaign, Aubameyang established himself as one of the world’s best, scoring 31 goals in 32 appearances in the Bundesliga, collecting his first career golden boot along the way.
