Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma has signed a new 5-year deal with A.C Milan after previously rejecting a contract extension at the club. The 18-year-old joined Milan four years ago for €250,000 and was the subject of fan abuse during the U21 Euros when fake money was thrown at him by Italian fans, those doing so gesturing that he was after more money. However, according to Sky in Italy, he is on the verge of putting pen to paper and extending his time at the San Siro.

It’s also reported that Milan will sign Donnarumma’s brother, Antonio, and pay him €1m per year. Furthermore, Gianluigi Donnarumma’s new deal features a €50m release clause if Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League and if they do, the fee is doubled, meaning clubs who are interested will need to pay €100m for the Italian’s services.

However, this is according to Sky in Italy, including Di Marzio, and there is yet to be official confirmation from the club. If it does happen, it puts Donnarumma and Mino Raiola’s relationship at risk, with the teenager opting to go against Raiola’s advice in order to keep his fan-favourite status intact at the Rossoneri, which not many people have done under the super agent’s guidance. He has reportedly turned down a €13m-a-year offer from PSG to extend his time at Milan.
