La Liga News Real Madrid Transfer Rumours

According to reports in the Spanish press and recently by Sky Sports, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club and ranks his decision as ‘irreversible’. The Portuguese phenomenon won both La Liga and the Champions League this season and is expected to pick up his fifth Ballon d’Or, matching Lionel Messi’s tally.

In the past few days, the forward has been accused of avoiding €15m in tax by Spanish prosecutors, and despite wholly denying the charge, Ronaldo is said to be angry about the treatment he has received by Spanish authorities.

It’s also been reported that Real Madrid asked press not to include photos of him wearing a Real Madrid kit when reporting on Ronaldo’s tax situation, something that has infuriated the 32-year-old.

According to Sky, if the situation is not resolved, Ronaldo’s most likely destinations are China, PSG or a return to former side Manchester United. However, knowing the number 7’s determination to strive for the best, it’s highly unlikely we’ll be seeing him in the Chinese Super League whilst he’s still in the form he is.

The Portugal captain is still contracted to Real Madrid until 2021, meaning the ball is in Real Madrid’s court to try and persuade the star to stay, however, with all English, Portuguese and Spanish press reporting Ronaldo’s decision is final.
