Dani Alves’ reputation in Turin could be in jeopardy following his release from Juventus during the week, with Italian media reporting that he’s attempted to convince Paulo Dybala to join him in the Premier League next season.
The Brazilian has found himself heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester City over the past few days and, with a move seemingly nearing completion, the Corriere Dello Sport newspaper has claimed that he’s working to bring Dybala to the Etihad with him in what would be a fascinating act of betrayal against his former club.

Juventus signed Alves from Barcelona in June 2016, and, less than a year later, have allowed him to leave only halfway through his two-year deal. The 34-year-old has since reaffirmed his admiration of Pep Guardiola, whom he played under for four years at the Nou Camp; fuelling speculation that he could be working with the Spaniard in an attempt to bring Dybala with him to England.

La Joya (as he’s known in Spanish) has an excellent reputation as one of world football’s most exciting talents. He is a known target of Guardiola’s, and although a transfer looks unlikely at this stage, would no doubt add some serious flair to City’s campaign next season.
