Today, Hull City have announced 3 signings to the first team in the form of David Marshall, Ryan Mason and Will Keane. The old saying ‘if you wait so long for a bus two will come at once’ was almost accurate for Hull City fans today as after a signing-less summer transfer window was coming to a close, Hull City announce 3 signings in the space of a few hours.

David Marshall has joined Hull City on a 3 year deal after a fee believed to be in the region of £3.5m was agreed between Hull City and Cardiff City. The Scottish international has made 24 caps for Scotland and has impressed in those games. The Goalkeeper was the captain of Cardiff City and featured over 300 times, particularly impressing in the 2013/14 season when Cardiff City were relegated from the Premier League.

Two hours after the announcement of Hull City’s first signing of the summer, another was soon added. Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason has joined Hull City for a club record fee which is believed to be in the region of £10-13m. The capped English midfielder signed a 3 year deal making his first permanent move of his career after graduating from Tottenham Hotspur’s academy. The 25 year old has not been part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at White Hart Lane since his injury at the start of last season.

Finally, in the last hour Hull City have confirmed the signing of Manchester United striker Will Keane. The fee taking the 23 year old to the KCOM Stadium remains undisclosed. Will Keane progressed through Manchester United’s academy after joining at the young age of 11, he made his first team debut at Old Trafford when Hull City caretaker manager Mike Phelan was the assistant manager at Manchester United. Will Keane sees his move as a “fresh start” to his career after some underwhelming loan spells to Championship sides.

It looks likely that Hull City may make a few more signings before the transfer window slams shut, with players like Jeff Hendrick and Marcus Henrickson being linked to moves to Humberside.
