Au Revoir Graham Carr?

Graham Carr could leave Newcastle United this summer, according to reports.
The Telegraph say Benitez having the final say on transfers will significantly reduce the chief scout’s power at the club and see him leave in the summer.
Benitez took on the job after being told he would have control transfers, but said he is willing to work with Carr.
Luke Edwards at the Telegraph reports: “Carr travelled up to Newcastle from his Northamptonshire home last week for a face-to-face meeting with Benitez and sources have indicated those talks were constructive, but recruitment matters will be discussed again at the end of the season.
“Neither man wants to cause tension behind the scenes and have agreed the club have more pressing concerns, as they do not know if they will be in the Premier League or Championship when the next window opens.”
When Benitez was asked on how he would get along with Carr, he said, “I haven’t spoken to him, but I know him and I have friends that know him. I don’t see any problem.
“He is a football man, we will talk about football, we will talk about players, and I think we will be fine. I understand why the club is going in this direction. And I have to explain why we have to change a little bit, and I think that will be good for everyone.”
The news will certainly be welcomed by the Toon faithful, as pressure on Carr has grown after the majority of his signings have flopped at the club.
Au revoir, Graham Carr!
