Featured Manchester United News Transfer Rumours

There have been reports for some time now speculating the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Many clubs in the Premier League are thought to be interested in the Swede internationals signigture in the summer as his contract expires at Paris Saint Germain and will be a free agent.

The 34 year old has already hinted at a Premier a League move and has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester United being the main targets.

Sky Sports reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted he wants to join Manchester United but not if Van Gaal is still the current manager. He will only join Manchester United if the Dutch manager departs from Old Trafford in the summer.

The reason for this is that Zlatan and Van Gaal have clashed in the past when he played at Ajax in a team managed by Ronald Koeman when Van Gaal was at the club at the same time in a technical director role.

Van Gaal has been expected to be replaced by Jose Mourinho in the summer for some time now who worked with the Sweden striker for a year at Inter Milan.

Zlatan has a lot of respect for Jose Mourinho and got on really well together at Inter Milan. Teaming up again would be a great highlight in both their careers as Manchester United seek to step back up to the top in the Premier League and get back to playing with the worlds best in the Champions League. Zlatan teaming back up with Mourinho will help influence their chances of that.

Zlatan is still yet to feature in the Premier League and is mainly the only huge league he has not participated in as he played in La Liga with Barcelona, Serie A with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan and now PSG in Ligue 1. So he would love to tick off the Premier League on his wish list before retiring as he is getting on now aged 34 but still his desire, passion, leadership is still encouraging him to carry on and continue playing with the worlds elite.
