Why United  Fans Should be Excited for Next Season:

It all comes down to that man, Mourinho, doesn’t it? He seems to have turned the club on its head since his announcement. 6 months ago, we were seriously worrying for the future of this football club. Hundreds of millions were spent that came to no avail. Results not going our way, missing out on Champions League… the club just seemed to be collapsing upon itself.

But suddenly it was May, and Louis van Gaal lost his job. A certain man named José came to town. A man who knows how to manage an enormous club like us. He stamped his authority upon this club immediately and has attracted three talented footballers so far. He hasn’t just attracted mid-table, average players who lack quality, José has managed to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who could’ve stayed at their Champions League clubs but didn’t; deciding to join Manchester United. If that doesn’t say enough about what Mourinho wants from the club, I don’t know what does.

If we continue to bring in players of this calibre, we could be in for a wonderful new season. With us also signing young defender Eric Bailly, our defense seems all but sorted for next campaign. Our attack is already good enough to tear the league apart, but midfield is currently our only problem. We lack a box-to-box incredible midfielder, but we might not for long. We have been seriously linked with the £100M transfer of none other than Paul Pogba, and we remain favourites to sign him. If we sign Pogba, our team is nearly perfect. A mix of experience and youth ready to put up a serious title challenge. What more could you want?

If all goes to plan this summer, and we develop a team spirit and a hunger for success like the Fergie days, I can see us going all out to win the Premier League. But it will be far from easy, with the League becoming more unpredictable and competitive than ever. Let’s put faith in one of the best managers in the world, José Mourinho.
