Wayne Rooney Announces He’s Staying At Manchester United

Manchester United & England captain Wayne Rooney has announced he is staying at the club after speculation surrounding his future after a move to China was supposedly in the 31-year-old’s interests.
Rooney, who may miss Manchester United’s EFL Cup final on Sunday due to a muscle problem, told the Press Association that he’s staying at Manchester United in what is an ‘exciting time’ to be at the club.
Rooney revealed: “Despite the interest which has been shown from other clubs, for which I’m grateful, I want to end recent speculation and say that I am staying at Manchester United.”
“I hope I will play a full part in helping the team in its fight for success on four fronts.
“It’s an exciting time at the club and I want to remain a part of it.”
