Real Madrid Duo To United?

Real Madrid are reportedly planning a full-scale clear out of their squad. James Rodriguez and Isco are the star names being considered to be offloaded in the summer according to Marca. Both of the midfielders have significantly underperformed and Marca reports that the duo will be playing for their futures at the Bernabéu in the remaining games of this season.

Both players were jeered by their own supporters during the 1-0 home defeat to  Atletico Madrid at the weekend. Should both of the players leave, it would create funds for the ‘Los Blancos’ to sign long-term targets, Eden Hazard and David De Gea.

Isco is currently being monitored by Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United. Rodriguez is believed to be a long-term target for Manchester United. Marca state that Real Madrid would only be willing to sell Rodriguez if a club can cough up the £63 million they paid Monaco for him in 2014. Jose Mourinho, who is being touted as the next Manchester United manager is likely to enter the race for the Columbian and he would most definitely come under that category of a ‘stellar signing’ that United have been desperate for.
