La Liga Manchester United Real Madrid Transfer Rumours

According to the ever reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Cristiano Ronaldo wants to re-join Manchester United and has told agent, Jorge Mendes, to do everything possible to make it happen. The news was also broken by Duncan Castles on Saturday night.

The news comes in the week in which Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have told Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, he wishes to leave the club. The Portuguese star was accused of tax invasion by Spanish authorities and is reportedly angry about the treatment he has received.

Di Marzio says that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay whatever it takes to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to France, but the player prefers a move back to Old Trafford. It’s been reported that the Real Madrid star was on the brink of a move to Manchester United in 2013, however, Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement changed Ronaldo’s mind, and for the better.

United went on to finish 7th under David Moyes, setting a record of 81 crosses against Fulham in a draw, which probably set back Ronaldo’s interest in a return for a while. However, after the news CR7 wishes to leave Madrid, a switch back to England could be on the cards, given José Mourinho wishes to make a move.
