Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure looks set to leave the Ethiad this summer as his agent Dimitri Seluk has confirmed he is looking for a new club. Toure had been looking for an improved deal to stay at the club but it seems the Manchester City hierarchy has decided against paying the extra cash to keep the Ivorian at the club.
Seluk claimed: “From this moment we start to discuss with different clubs about Yaya going there in the summer.”
The Sun has rumoured that top teams like Bayern Munich, Juventus and PSG are still interested in the Ivorian and Seluk has insisted that if Toure was to move for more money he would have left already. This could potentially rule out a move to the Chinese Super League which has picked up many African star players over the last year, which has increased the reputation of the league considerably.
Toure’s recent times at City have been plagued with incidents with the birthday cake drama in 2014, Toure claiming the club didn’t appreciate him, as well as kicking up a fuss over losing out on the African Footballer of the Year to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang earlier in January.
This is another huge blow for City’s chances at silverware this season with the team in a rotten run of form, additionally with Pellegrini and Toure confirmed as walking out the door this season, can they still win silverware?
