Roy Keane: Manchester City Aren’t As Good As They Think They Are

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane believes Manchester City aren’t as good as they think. Keane, who captained the red side of Manchester, has suggested City’s ego may be bigger than it should be.
In City’s last 14 games, Guardiola’s side have come out on top in just 4 and currently sit in fourth place in the table, having won nine in the Premier League so far. Despite City’s positive start to the season, Roy Keane believes they’re not as good as they think.
Speaking on ITV’s Champions League highlights show, Keane said:
“Their squad probably isn’t as good as maybe Manchester City think or even the manager.
“Obviously they knew they were already through but they showed a lot of disrespect to Celtic and Celtic were the slightly better team and could have gone on to win.”
Pep Guardiola’s side are still competing for three trophies this season, including the FA Cup, Premier League, and the Champions League, in which they famously stunned Barcelona at the Etihad to boost their qualifying hopes. Despite Keane’s damning comments, Guardiola’s City are in a much more comfortable situation than their red neighbors, as Manchester United sit in sixth, nine points behind City.
