What Will Klopp do next in the Transfer window?
After recent weeks there has been lots of speculation on what will Klopp want to bring and what type of player he wants. The names of Mario Götze from Bayern Munich, and Mohammed Dahoud from Gladbach who has been very good recently for the German national team and has caught the eye from Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Liverpool.
Dahoud has been named a priority by reliable social media outlets including Paul Joyce from the express, Melissa Reddy from goal and James Pearce from the Liverpool Echo who have all got connections with Liverpool. Bayern Munich value Mario Götze at €25 million and Gladbach value Dahoud at €35m. FSG are backing Klopp with mega funs, more than any other manger that has previous been at Liverpool before. Klopp has the final say on every transfer that happens, that’s a fact.
A deal for Pitor Zielinski seems to be all but done with Liverpool paying up the asking price of £12 million. Zielinski has made his thoughts clear that he wants to join Liverpool, Klopp gave him a phone call and explained what role he would have next season, by the reaction and how the advanced talks have gone, he’s a hundred percent up for joining Liverpool. Zielinski has registered 3 goals and 6 assists for Empoli this season. The saga has gone a twist as there has been nothing to report in the last two weeks. Napoli seems to be interested in Zielinksi but it’s reported that he’s waiting for Liverpool to come in for him.
Jonas Hector and Ben Chiwell are both targets at the left back position after Alberto Moreno playing unconvincing during the majority of the season, Klopp clearly thinks he needs an upgrade there and I do too. Jonas Hector is Germany’s number one Left Back and has been for some time now, he would bring experience to the squad. The opposite people would think is Ben Chiwell, the young 18 year old has won the league recently but hasn’t played a game in the Barclays premier league yet. He’s only featured in the F.A cup with two appearances. He has played his football for the England U21’s. He has been praised by manger Gareth Southgate on a regular basis, Klopp likes the look of Chilwell and thinks he can turn him into what he wants in an left back in the next five years.
Klopp has hade his additions early by getting Serbian international, Marko Grujic who was recommended by Liverpool assistant, Zuljko Buvac. The player looks like someone who will have a important role next season. The young midfielder recently played his first senior Serbian cap. Very strong player at the age of 19. Marko was off to Inter Millan but Klopp called and he new that joining the Liverpool would help his career by working with Klopp who is a genius when turning Hidden gems into superstars.
Jöel Matip was a very smart signing from Schalke. Tall, stong and versatile is his main attributes. Very experienced for a young player, aged 24. Made 44 caps for his home national team ( Cameroon ). He has made 33 appearances this season in the Bundesliga. Also made 5 appearances in Europa. He has won 43 tackles this season, with an success rate of 52% and Joel has made 97 interceptions, 175 clearances and 30 blocks. Very smart signing to get him on the free. Klopp has made it clear that Jöel Matip was a player that Klopp always wanted to sign for his new club after Dortmund.
Loris Karius has been the most recent signing for only 4.7m. That’s brilliant business for a goalkeeper who is 2nd best in the bundesliga, just behind Neuer. This was voted from the fans for big news from big news paper “Kicker”. He’s had a great attitude towards working hard and getting nearer to the German national team. Karius was rated by many clubs including Borussia Dortmund but choose Liverpool football club. Klopp is a huge pulling factor and I can see many more players coming to Liverpool, partly because of Klopp. He certainly will turn out to be a great buy with him going straight into the first team to replace Simon Mignolet. This transfer was needed and I’m glad it’s done.
The recent signing of Sadio Mané has given Liverpool something else. He brings pace, power and that never say die attitude. He’s also a versatile player that can offer something from the wing and can play up front. The Senegalese forward is a natural striker that works just behind the striker, he played as a centre forward for Southampton for two years but started his career as a right back. The fee is argueably high but with Klopp’s guidance and his mentioning. Sadio Mané can turn into a fantastic buy. Klopp is an huge admirer of the winger and sees him as a ‘gifted talent’.
Leicester bidding £25 million for Troy Deeney seems like a lot so bidding £5 million more for Mané who is Premier League proven and offers a lot what Liverpool don’t have, Mané will also start every game and Deeney won’t because of Jamie Vardy and Leicester City newcomer Musa.
The deadwood needs to be shifted away, Bogdan, Benteke and Skrtel are close to move away with them all not being in Klopp’s future plans. Benteke seems to be on his way to Crystal Palace after agreeing personal terms with the club. The fee is believed to be £30 million with the deal looking increasingly likely. Wigan seem to be interested in Bogdan but his wages seem to be an problem with Wigan not matching them. Bogdan will certainly leave Liverpool, no doubt.
Now the Euro’s are under way, Most likely the deals for transfers will be after the Euros, What will Klopp do next?
