Turkish Giants To Offer Escape For Mamadou Sakho

Reports from Turkey are suggesting that Liverpool’s forgotten man, Mamadou Sakho, could be offered an escape route from his Anfield hell by Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Galatasaray are reportedly in the market for two new defenders, and Sakho is top of their transfer window shopping list. However, the deal is far from completion, as Sakho has stated his desire to fight for his place at Liverpool or at the very least moving to another English team.
Gala’s offer is reportedly a £1m offer to have Sakho on loan for the rest of the season with a view to signing him fully at the end of the season.
Liverpool would much prefer to sell the defender as opposed to loaning him out, but regardless, his time at Anfield seems to be coming to an end.
However, Gala will hold out hope that their modest offer will be accepted. Sakho is yet to make an appearance for the Merseysiders this season, and manager Klopp has shown no signs of giving Sakho a chance.
Sakho reportedly turned down a move to Galatasaray’s league rivals Besiktas in the summer, so it appears the opportunity to play in the Super Lig does not appeal to the Frenchman.
If this move should fall through, the Turkish side are reportedly looking at Ahmet Çalık and Kaan Ayhan from the Super Lig and 2. Bundesliga respectively.
It remains to be seen how desperate Liverpool are to get Sakho off of their hands, but it appears that they will wait until the summer window to offload the defender for a respectable amount of money.
