Mario Gotze to link back up with Jurgen Klopp in the summer at Liverpool?
Germany international and Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze has reportedly decided he wants to leave Bayern Munich for Liverpool and link up with his former boss Jurgen Klopp this summer. The 23 year old German international has fallen out of favour with Bayern manager Pep Guardiola, only making 12 appearances during this season.
Gotze revealed that he still texts Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and still keep in touch now and then, carrying over their strong bond which they shared at Borussia Dortmund where Mario won 2 bundesliga titles with.
The 2014 World Cup winner’s contract ends at the end of the season and he is refusing to sign a new contract with future Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti who is being reported to come in to replace Pep Guardiola when he swaps Bayern for Manchester City at the end of the season.
There is no doubt about Mario Gotze’s ability scoring 31 goals in all competitions in 116 games whilst at Borussia Dortmund for 4 years. During his current 3 years at Bayern he has netted in 34 times in 105 appearances so he would be an important edition for Liverpool if he was to sign in the summer and would link up perfectly with Coutinho in a deadly attacking combination.
