Liverpool closing in on Georginio Wijnaldum?

Various reports last night and this morning reveal that Liverpool’s pursuit on Newcastle player Georginio Wijnaldum is drawing ever so closer. It is being reported that Newcastle have accepted an offer from the Reds in the region of £25 million whilst the club are offering the player a five-year contract.
The Dutch midfielder has attracted a lot of interest in the following weeks from a variety of clubs after he revealed he did not want to remain with relegated Newcastle next season. Tottenham and Everton where other clubs monitoring the player but neither club submitted a bid.
The player is expected to travel to Merseyside today in regards to a medical with a finalised deal being completed in the coming days. Wijnaldum played his last game for the Magpies earlier in the week with a substitute appearance in a 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers.
The current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping the deal can be completed as soon as possible in order for the player to be available for the Reds tour in the United States.
