Liverpool Targetting Stefan De Vrij Following Virgil Van Dijk Embarrassment
Liverpool News Transfer Rumours

Following yesterday’s apology to Southampton regarding the potential transfer of Virgil Van Dijk, Liverpool announced that they would drop all interest they had for the defender, leaving Manchester City the clear favourites to sign the Dutchman.
However, in need of strengthening their defence, the Reds are reportedly after another Dutch defender, only this time in the name of Stefan de Vrij. Sky Sports Italia recently claimed that Liverpool made an official €20m (£17m) bid for the defender, but it was later rejected by his club Lazio as the fee was too short of what they were expecting.
De Vrij has been linked with a departure from his home club in the past and has even been connected with moves to Manchester United and Inter Milan, but both failed to succeed. The defender only has one year remaining on his current deal, with Lazio reportedly wanting as high as £30 million for the defender.
