Marquinhos doubled PSG’s lead after half-time before Giovani Lo Celso was gifted PSG’s third goal after a howler from Rennes goalkeeper Abdoulaye Diallo.

The game reached a flashpoint after Kylian Mbappé was sent off for a horror tackle on Ismaila Sarr. The tackle almost incited a brawl between the two teams. After the referee consulted VAR, Mbappé was given his marching orders:

The Frenchman wasn’t too pleased after his sending off and he made his feelings very clear on camera. When he was walking off the pitch, Mbappé looked straight into the camera and had a few words to say.

Hey! Listen to me. The same [tackle] happened to me last week. And nothing [was given then]!“, Mbappé said as he stormed off into the tunnel.
