WATCH: Kasper Schmeichel Speaks Out On Allegations Of A Players Revolt Against Claudio Ranieri

On Thursday, following Leicester’s 2-1 defeat to Sevilla in the Champions League, Claudio Ranieri was relieved of his duties as Leicester manager, despite being crowned Premier League champions less than a year ago.
Following the news, The Times newspaper published a piece claiming a meeting, which involved members of the Leicester board and senior players such as Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy, Marc Albrighton and Kasper Schmeichel, was held on Wednesday evening, directly after Leicester’s Champions League fixture, as the players reportedly voiced their concern over Claudio Ranieri.
However, Kasper Schmeichel, son of Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel, has revealed he, nor any other Leicester player, had any influence on Leicester’s decision to sack the Italian.
The 30-year-old, who spoke to both the BBC and Sky Sports this morning, denies going behind Ranieri’s back and insists he could not have any more respect for the man that won him a Premier League medal. You can watch what Leicester’s shot-stopper had to say below:
