Everton News Transfer Rumours

Everton have been rumoured to be delving into the transfer market again after the singing of Jordan Pickford from Sunderland with reports suggesting that they have ‘stepped up’ their interest for Watford loanee M’Baye Niang.

Italian news website Calciomercato have reported that representatives of Everton have travelled to Milan hoping to strike a deal worth 16 million pounds.

Niang joined Watford on loan in January during last season which he had a disappointing spell, only scoring twice in the 16 games he played for the Hornets.

He joined AC Milan in 2012 from French side Caen, making 77 appearances during his time with the Rossoneri before later enduring loan spells at Montpellier, Genoa and Watford.

Manager Vincenzo Montella is going through a re-building process with his Milan side, and has begun looking to bring in big-name players to his squad to challenge for the European places next season due to the take over of the club by Chinese businessman Li Yonghong. Montella see’s Niang as part of the dead wood that is currently in the squad and wants to move him on as quickly as possible to cash in on the Frenchman.

Reports have suggested that Milan want about €18 million for the players services, however, it is believed the club would happily accept an offer in the region of €15 million due to the good terms that The Toffees have with the Rossoneri.

Manager Vincenzo Montella and Director of Football Massimo Mirabelli have been rumoured to meet with Everton representatives at some point today to hopefully strike a deal for Niang to have him as an Everton player in the next 48 hours.
