Following the departure of former manager Sam Allardyce, Crystal Palace have a trio of targets in line to communicate with to potentially be their next manager for the upcoming Premier League season.

Allardyce earned back his reputation in football at Crystal Palace after being shamed in an undercover investigation by the Telegraph, in which he revealed inside information at the FA. The former boss did a stellar job to keep the club in England’s top division but shocked the board when he handed in his resignation, revealing he had ‘no ambitions to take another job’.

The Eagles have targeted former Bayer Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt, current Burnley manager Sean Dyche, and also Argentinian manager Mauricio Pellegrino for talks to be their next manager for the new season. The club were reportedly targeting Marco Silva after his excellent stint at Hull in which he gave some hope of staying up to the Tigers, however, it wasn’t enough.

The former Olympiakos boss was then persuaded to join Watford after Walter Mazzarri’s dismissal, leaving Crystal Palace to look elsewhere. It seems Schmidt, Dyche and Pellegrino have been selected as the main targets on Steve Parish’s shortlist, as he looks to bring stability to the club.
