Chelsea Juventus News Serie A Transfer Rumours

According to recent reports, London club Chelsea have seen their £55.2 million offer for Juventus defender Alex Sandro rejected. It is believed that the Italian club will not stand in the way of the Brazillian if he wishes to leave the club, but an improved offer will be needed.

Should Chelsea get their man, Juventus will make a healthy profit on the left-back, who has signed from Portuguese side FC Porto two years ago for £23 million.

Juventus president, Giuseppe Marotta, confirmed the bid from Antonio Conte’s side, telling Corriere della Sera: “Chelsea made a very big offer for Alex Sandro. We said no, but today players are masters of their own destiny.”

Sandro has in excellent form this season, playing an important role in the club’s pursuit of the Serie A title. The 26-year-old is currently on international duty with Brazil in Australia and has emerged as one of Antonio Conte’s top targets for the summer transfer window.
