Chelsea are reported to be interested in Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic according to the Times. With them also reporting that Chelsea’s director Marina Granovskaia has spoken to Pjanic’s advisers and they have established that there is a £31 million release clause.
Chelsea would have little trouble in meeting Pjanic’s release clause or wage demands which are reported to be £60,000.
But what would he bring to Chelsea?
Pjanic has been one of Serie A’s best midfielders over the past few years and has a great range of passing, a bit like our play maker Cesc Fabregas and could also have a great link up with Diego Costa. But Pjanic also has an eye for goal he’s scored 9 goals in 23 league stats for Roma this season and 2 in the so far in the Champions League. A side from this he has a very strong free kick and potential to score lots of goals for Chelsea and have a huge impact on the future of the club should the deal go through.
