Fabio Capello has hailed Liverpool’s performances this season so far as “spectacular” while backing Antonio Conte’s Chelsea for the title.
Said the ex-England manager, according to the Mirror, “Liverpool are spectacular. What is not known is how long it will last. Chelsea are solid. (Antonio) Conte is working well. To score against Chelsea is really difficult. For me that can happen until the end.”

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool currently sit top of pile after 11 games as they seek to break the curse of the elusive title, while Conte’s Chelsea are hot on their heels being just a point behind after an upturn of form in recent games. Since their switch to a 3-4-3 formation, the Blues have been in blistering form with five straight victories, including a memorable 4-0 humbling of Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

Capello also lent support to Jose Mourinho, who has had an underwhelming start to life at Old Trafford, saying, “Coaches have to be given time, even the great ones like Mourinho. He is rebuilding the team after the Van Gaal era.”
