According to Sky sources, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to add further signings to his squad before next season. The Italian coach reportedly wants to add up to four new faces to the defending champions’ team. Chelsea have already welcomed four new additions to Stamford Bridge this summer and it seems it won’t be ending anytime soon.

The Blues recruitment started with Manchester City keeper Willy Caballero on a free transfer and the club went on to add AS Roma centre-back Antonio Rüdiger and AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko to bolster their defence and midfield options ahead of the new campaign. Conte finally added a striker to his squad, signing Real Madrid star Álvaro Morata in a £58 million.

The list of targets is said to include Juventus full back Alex Sandro, Swansea hitman Fernando Llorente, Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva and Southampton’s Virgil Van Dijk. All potential signings will add depth to the defence, midfield and attack. With Van Dijk set to play in the back three, Sandro and Candreva as upgrades on Moses and Alonso and a backup striker in Llorente.

Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first season under the management of Conte last season. The Italian will look to strengthen his squad with the added pressure of continental football next season.
