Bournemouth Defender Nathan Ake: Chelsea And I Keep In Contact

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has revealed he has regular contact with parent club Chelsea.
The 21-year-old was loaned to the Cherries in the summer, and after initially struggling at the south coast club, he’s made the centre-back spot his own with a string of impressive performances.
And Ake – who scored the winner in Bournemouth’s thrilling 4-3 win against Liverpool – admits Chelsea have been giving him advice after every single game.
“You’ve got a loan department,” Ake told Soccer AM.
“You’ve got people like Paulo Ferreira and Eddie Newton, who work in the department, and they send you clips. If you play they send you things you have to improve on.
“They keep in contact with you and without interfering with Bournemouth they try to help you as well, and try to make my defending better.”
“No, not really,” was Ake’s response when asked if he has ever received mixed messages between the two clubs.
“They [Chelsea] don’t want to interfere, they show me clips and what they think.
“But they tell me as well, if the manager [Eddie Howe] says another thing, you do that, because you’re at Bournemouth now, and you’re learning from this manager.
“But they are just trying to give me other little bits to help me more.”
