Remi Garde has been sacked as manager of Aston Villa this evening. The former Lyon manager Garde only won twice in his twenty matches since taking over in November, with an awful win percentage of 10%.
The Villa official website said “Manager, Remi Garde has today left Aston Villa Football Club by mutual consent.”
“The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Remi for all of his efforts during a difficult period and wish him well in the future”
Assistant manager Eric Black will take over as Aston Villa manager until the Villa board appoints a new manager.
