Arsenal legend and pundit Ian Wright has revealed that players at the Gunners aren’t turning up for training on time and club staff are having to drive to their house to bring them to training.

The North London club suffered a humiliating defeat against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, losing 3-0 in a performance that Gary Neville labelled an ‘absolute disgrace’.

To make matters worse for fans of the club, Wright has now revealed players, including youngsters, often skip training by turning up late or pretending to be sick. Speaking on BBC 5Live, the Englishman revealed:

“You’re hearing young players coming into the squad, turning up late for training. People (are) having to go to their houses to get them to come to training. People not turning up to training, calling in sick. You know, these are the things that you can see where the demise is now in.”

Arsenal have a chance to put things right on Thursday as they take on Manchester City in the Premier League, though being played at the Emirates, a toxic atmosphere could be looking likely after the lack of effort from Arsène Wenger’s men at Wembley on Sunday infuriated almost every Gunner.
