The North London club are currently in a state of a crisis with the likes of Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Özil reportedly departing the club as their contracts expire at the end of the season. A report from SPORT claim that Arsène Wenger is keen on bringing the Frenchman to London to replace either of his departing players.

Should a transfer occur, the versatile midfielder would be reunited with former player Alexandre Lacazette. The 26-year-old was a Lyonnais player since 2003, featuring in both the club’s academy and first-team before departing for Arsenal in the 2017 Summer transfer window for a fee believed to be around £50 million.

Interestingly, Fekir’s father, Mohamed Fekir, spoke about his son’s desire to join the London club and be managed by Arsene Wenger year’s ago; “If he leaves, it’ll be for Arsenal. It’s the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsène Wenger.”
