Arsenal fans surrounded the team bus following their 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace last night and hurled abuse at Arsène Wenger and a number of first-team players, including Mesut Özil and Shkodran Mustafi.

The loss meant it was the first time in Arsène Wenger’s reign at Arsenal that the club had lost 4 away games in a row, with fans turning their attention to both Wenger himself, but also the players who were included in chanting for the first time last night.

In one incident, fans kept hold of a ball that went out of play for a throw-in, refusing to return it to Hector Bellerin as they chanted ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’.

After the full-time whistle at Selhurst Park, fans surrounded the first-team bus, chanting indivudal attacks at players as they entered the bus. Mustafi, Arsenal’s summer signing who began so promisingly, was told to ‘go back to Germany’ whilst fans questioned Mesut Özil’s work-rate during games. The Arsenal players will have to be mentally stronger than what they are on the pitch to be able to cope with the abuse they’re receiving of late. You can see the videos below, which were posted on Twitter after the loss to Palace.
