“Alexis Sanchez Is Fine, His Reaction Was Normal” Says Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has jumped to the defence of Alexis Sanchez after his reaction at full-time as Arsenal escaped with a point at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Chilean has been in inspiring form this season and was clearly frustrated as Arsenal failed to capitalise on their title rivals again this season. He was shown on Sky Sports throwing his gloves to the ground, before heading straight down the tunnel. Multiple news outlets reported the following morning that Sanchez had then refused to talk to his team-mates in the dressing room, but Wenger believes this reaction was normal after dropping points.
“Well, what is surprising there?” said Wenger, responding to a question about Sanchez’ full-time reaction.
“You want to win the games and when you don’t win, you are unhappy – it is normal.
“Without passion, you do not come back after 70 minutes from three goals down in the Premier League.
“First of all it is exceptional, it doesn’t often happen in the Premier League and you need a special response, which is what happened.
“We wanted to win the game, and we didn’t win the game so we are all frustrated. Of course (he is fine),” added the Frenchman.
