Aaron Ramsey On Why He Chose North London Over Manchester

Aaron Ramsey, 25, has earlier today revealed that he rejected Manchester United for Arsène Wenger’s Arsenal.
After a couple years at the Welsh capital city, Ramsey gained an interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal, but despite growing up a Red Devils fan – thanks to advice from assistant coach Terry Burton – the Welshman joined Arsenal.
“I went up there to see the facilities and I went to see Arsène Wenger,” he told Sky Sports. “He did a lot to try and get me to this club.
“As a 17-year-old, flying out on a private jet to his hotel [in Switzerland for Euro 2008] was surreal but I think I made the right decision. I just felt a bit more wanted by Arsenal and by the boss,” said Ramsey
The midfielder has suffered from a series of injuries throughout his career – his leg brake at The Britannia Stadium the most significant injury he has had – and Ramsey has just come back from a hamstring problem, though played a full 90 minutes against Serbia during the international break, so he will be in contention to play at Old Trafford.
Arsenal’s new number eight has been rumoured to a move away from the club after a magnificent EURO 2016 tournament where he was named in the ‘team of the tournament’, however, he is willing to fight for his place in an Arsenal team who have the potential to win this year’s Premier League title.
